We’ve had a few lovely days of weather here in Glasgow. It’s great to see the trees starting to turn green and spring is starting to show all around us. At the moment we’re all working on different projects before coming together again for our album tour in May/June.
Claire is currently in New Zealand (we’re not jealous at all) visiting family and doing a few solo gigs, Gráinne is up in Drimnin recording an album with The Routes Quartet, Heather is busy at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, and Tina is working with her new band Tradosauraus (yes, you read that right) who are entering the Battle of The Folk Bands at the Edinburgh Trad Fest in May.
It was fantastic to visit Tina’s hometown of Clitheroe in March to launch our album there. We played in The Atrium at Clitheroe Castle which was a great venue. Local musician Jordan Ferguson opened the night with a cracking set on banjo, guitar, and song. We then went on to perform material from our new album A Delicate Game, and we included some oldies in there as well. Thanks to everyone who helped us to make the night the success it was. We really enjoyed it and hope to be back to perform again soon.
Here’s a picture of us all the morning after the gig at the top of Clitheroe Castle.
We’re very excited about our album tour coming up in May/June. These are all Scottish dates but we hope to venture further afield in the future.
