Partick Folk Club August 2015

Partick Folk ClubWe had a fantastic night performing at Partick Folk Club on Friday last week. We were supported by the lovely Carla Feuerstein who sang some great German folk songs and accompanied herself on guitar.

We’ve been working on new material over the summer and we were very excited to debut a few songs. ‘Campires’ is a beautiful song written by Aaron Fyfe, one of Heather’s friends who she grew up with. We have also done arrangement of a fantastic song by Findlay Napier. Findlay was inspired to write ‘Princess Rosanna’ when he saw some graffiti under Jamaica Bridge in Glasgow which read “RIP Princess Rosanna”. He wrote the first verse and the chorus whilst on the run and then finished the song at home.

We’ve had great fun arranging these new songs and we hope to have some videos to share with you soon.

The next thing up for us is we are off to Cavan in October to perform at the Ed Reavy Traditional Music Festival which we’re really looking forward to đŸ™‚
